Okay, we can’t actually pay them for you, but with our new Payment Connection
Electronic Bill Payment service we can make it a lot less stressful. You can
eliminate the drudgery of paying those monthly bills while saving time and money. Why
write out checks and go to the post office if you don’t have to? Paying bills online is
fast, simple, and secure with this great new service. Did we mention it’s convenient?
How does it work?
As your monthly bills come in, verify that the amount of your bill is correct and then
schedule the payment via your personal computer and we’ll do the rest. You can set
up one-time payments or recurring payments up to a year in advance. Whether it’s
a mortgage payment, credit card, utility bill, medical bill, or the local repair shop—you can use Payment Connection
to pay anyone, anytime (via electronic or paper check).
How do I schedule a bill for payment?
Bills are conveniently set up for payment by logging onto our website at
www.maine-edu.org. The first time you pay a particular
bill, you’ll need to set up the payee. All that is required is the name, address, phone
number, and account number of the bill you’d like to pay. Once this information is
entered and saved, you can select it from the payee list and schedule a payment.
Payment should be scheduled at least 5 business days before the due date to
ensure that it is received on time.
When can I start paying bills online?
First of all, you’ll need to have an active checking account and be a
MeEd-Connection (home banking) user. Then just complete the attached Enrollment Form and
return it or fax it to the credit union. Within 3–5 business days, you’ll receive a confirmation letter including your user name and
password via U.S. mail. At that time you can begin using Payment Connection to
make your payments!
Where are the payments taken from?
All payments will be deducted from your Maine Education Credit Union checking
account.
What does it cost?
Payment Connection is FREE* regardless of the number of bills you pay.
* Transactions using Payment Connection are considered the same as any other transaction in
regards to overdrafts and other fees set forth in the account service fee schedule.
